£12,000 ...nice tail pipe extension (looks very original), stainless tank I think - side screens don't look right, however, I think the they've been reworked so that the bottom section also opens (either forwards or backwards) somehow. Don't like the decals as they've been done with a carbon fibre look - also, despite what it says in the blurb, a decals missing off the boot lid. Engine number on the plate might indicate that a later 850 engine is fitted?
Mixed feelings about an increase in the perceived value of Bugs - on one hand I'd like to see them as "respected" as BMW / Isetta bubble cars etc. etc. - on the other, higher value puts spares and restoration costs up and tends towards getting cars locked away as an "investment" and trailered everywhere rather than driven - certainly not driven with the enthusiasm we see so frequently expressed on this forum. In particular those with half the rotten remains of a Bug at the end of the garden behind the shed will believe its worth what ever it is that Sothebys manage to flog this one for so won't sell to someone who genuinely wants to get it back on the road or conversly will attract an "investor" who'll pay top money for the wreck and then not have to skill or determination to restore it
Not the correct wheel caps but close enough to be forgiven I suppose ...the wheels themselves are 100% correct: Extractons (the webbing flutes are deep dish) but the centre caps should have a black and chrome Bond Bug "B" sticker not Dunlop - even though Dunlop D1s are frequently used as wheels these days as Extractons are no longer made
Don't think that Reliant ever offered a locking petrol cap themselves; although, back in the day, they were easy to find in car shops and were frequently fitted by owners (remember oil crisis in '73 :-) - I fitted one after some rouge had all my petrol out). So; if I recall correctly, the cap is correct, except it should be black not chrome
ian1404:: I used to own OYC 320 L and would love to own a Bug again. Anyone know of any high quality, good condition examples for sale?

cdb15: Calling One Bolt Billy: Mountney boss MB029 and 029C seem to fit 'all' Reliant 3 wheelers, cost around £20. People to speak to are Scarborough Racing Developments, failing that Opie Oils, both have web sites with all contact details.

Purplereign: . . .Are they not the same as Reliant Kitten/Allegro? New subject please: I'm looking for a scrap bodyshell. No mechanicals/trim/chassis needed, preferably one that is too ropey to restore properly as it would be a waste. But I need a canopy glass and ligh

Little-John: I watched Mike and Eddd. restore a Bond Bug on "Wheeler Dealers." At the Woburn 40th birthday party there were two very professional looking 4 wheel Bond Bugs (one yellow, one green.) Were they factory versions? How were they done? By whom?

mybug: Anyone know the whereabouts of PTO 365M? It was mine back in the early 80s and some pix have surfaced here (apparently from ebay around 5 years ago) so is it still around?
Jan 14, 2019 13:58:31 GMT
karl: Andrea, just seen your post. if you're still looking try putting it in the for sale wants thread.
Jan 14, 2019 19:58:09 GMT
mybug: Searched and spooled through every image/video/old ad I can find on the internet, I'm thinking that PTO 365M is not around any more. May be resting in a shed, but given the small and tight-knit Bug community, I'd have thought that someone would know it.
