I've bought the polyurethane bushes for drop arms and panhard from Superflex. Anyone fitted these? I need some advice.
While the panhard bushes are two-part, the drop arm ones are a single thing, shaped like a cotton reel with a flange around each end. I have drifted out the old rubber bushes, but now, how on earth to get the new ones in? The flange means they don't just push in. Can't just use the vice to push them in, even with washing-up liquid lubrication. They just buckle against the edge of the hole they are supposed to go in. Sigh.
Anyone got any ideas?

I got a set for mine the pan hard ones fitted fine but the ones for the trialing arms would not fit as they were not the right size,i told them and i got a refund, and was told that they would stop selling them till the fitting problem was sorted out.

How long ago was that, Bosscat? I bought mine from their website and there and on E*ay they are still listed as Bond Bug parts. Bugger. The old bush I drifted out was still serviceable but got pretty mangled with the thousands of lbs force I applied in the vice with pipe extension on the handle to get it moving. Not pleased.

It was about a month ago, they did say i could have a free set if i could lone them my trailing arms to make bushes to fit, that says it all,i ended up making a new set that would except the bushes and crush tubes used on the Haynes roadster wish bones i use on my trike builds.

The problem is the Superflex are diameter 28mm and the original 24mm. There no way they will fit. Well, that's held up my project within sight of the finishing post. Anyone know any off the shelf alternatives?

stick to standard rubber bushes on your bug as uprated aftermarket bushes like superflex are too firm on a bug, you need a bit of give, thats the whole idea to stop things cracking under load, like tyre choice, nothing too sticky so it slides and doesn't dig in and invert you. no no yoko's
