Hi All, I owned a Bug TNT 525J until about 10 years ago when I stupidly sold it. Probably one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. I’m now lurking and waiting for another one to come along. By the way I do have some pics that I am happy to add to the gallery but TNT 525J is already registered (at my old address) so I’m guessing that I may have been registered here at some time in the dim and distant ... although this doesn’t look like the same website. The Ayrbugger Hi all, just a quick intro to me. I spent quite a few years rebuilding motorcycles mainly old Nortons and then in conjunction with my brother we built a 2CV trike, then another then another, I still have the third one, now powered by a big block Moto Guzzi. Then a friend suggested that I buy a Bug, so we trawled the net and I won a Bug located in Lincoln, had to modify a trailer to collect it, then I retired and moved to the Dordogne taking both trike and Bug with me. I finished the French house restoration then started the Bug but had to source parts etc through my pal in the UK. Finally finished it around 6years ago and have done a few trips around Scotland getting home under my own steam each trip. The Bug is fitted with a Reliant engine and back axle, and painted in "Safety Orange" the only paint that I could source in France when painting was due. The parts were painted in the garden on a bright sunny day and got the inevitable bug attached as the paint dried. LVL 494 J is on the road and I hope to visit the Cockerbug Rally this Sept, the earlier date coincides with another event so have been unable to attend before. i am located in Ayrshire on the west coast and my main haunt is the north and west of Scotland.
