Been away from the Bug Club for a long time (Ten years? Twelve? Fifteen?) but I've still got the Bug I bought in 1990, though it needs a great deal of work to get it roadworthy. However, I'm now semi-retired, and as soon as I've cleared the rest of the tat out of the garage (no small task) the Great Work can begin. My Bug is a 1973 700ES and I bought it from Dick (I want to say Bentley but I'm sure that's wrong) who became president of the Bug Club. Cheers!

Hello Mulv, Welcome back to the forum, just because your semi retired you will be just as busy, as I have found out since retirement nearly 3 years ago. Family jobs, diy at home not counting trying to squeeze your jobs in on the Bug. But its great not having to set the alarm clock to go to work. Where is your location, maybe if you need help with any issues you may have, you can get some advice from the forum. Good luck Dave

Dick Bedford was the guy Mulv. He started the Bug club with a few helpers (me included) Good Luck with the Bug.

Hi Stiffy, Yup, Dick's surname sprang into my head a few seconds ago.
I was in North Wales when I bought the Bug, moved to Shrewsbury, and now I'm back in locked-down North Wales.
