The Bug Club 30th Birthday rally (also the postponed 50th rally from 2020), yes it does fall just inside the government restrictions. I'm in contact with the site and when they have guidance from the scout association we (myself and the bug club committee) can decide what the next steps to take will be.

Brilliant, we have already booked are Hotel, which we can cancel if its moved. However with luck we may be able to go ahead with the original dates as my wife has already booked almost every weekend away after that.

Just thought I should point out that we are only able to attend the last weekend of the event.
But still looking forward to it.

Boris said it, committee agreed as did the venue. This years club 30th/50th anniversary has been postponed. I should have the new rally date by next week, hoping for this year. Dates will most likely be published first in the next bug club magazine. On a plus the event list is looking good with several being confirmed with me. Surrey, Shropshire, Nottinghamshire and others. All in the next bug club magazine.

Thats a bit of a shame but it makes sense. It's better to do it right and not have to rush about and miss out on making it the event that it deserves.

Just a thought to all those bringing a bug to the club rally. To everyone hoping to go on a road run with other Bugs at the Bug Club rally, please will you get your Bug on the road and USE IT, USE IT, USE IT, before the rally. Every day if you can. Go to local shows, pop to the shops, visit your friends - just run it, and make sure that your lights, wipers, charging systems etc work. If you had a problem with something last time you ran the car, and its been in the garage ever since, it won't magically fix itself - so get it sorted now, before you set out to the rally. We want everyone to be safe, and enjoy the ride " I can forsee that lots of people will come either with cars they have just refurbished, or cars that have been off road since the first lockdown. If they get running them NOW, it might just avoid us having a string of cars at the side of the road, with one breakdown after another, inconveniencing other traffic and putting lives at risk. Nobody minds a genuine breakdown, but it gets a bit much when people break down with a problem they had last summer, which they have had nearly a year to fix.
Not a moan but potentially good piece of advice to all. Also keep letting me know if you plan attending and when. Thanks.

Morning Bug Owners. Hope everyone has got their wet weather gear ready for the weekend? Full wet rain tyres? With help from Ivan, I have now mounted and boxed up all 50 of the signed bug prints and will be taking them to the 50th rally on saturday for distribution to those of you that are there and have pre-booked a numbered print. Those of you who have not pre-ordered, please bring some cash (£50) as I dont have card facilities. I'm Hoping Tom Karen will be available for those who would like a picture of him with, with the print. Anyone else who would like a print but need it posting to their address (not much room in a bug!) I can organise this too.
Looking forward to seeing you all over the weekend. I'm in the white box trailer with Fortissimoto stickers on the side, you wont miss it. I will bring my bug in the trailer as I have loads of boxes to bring with me.
I will also have a number of unsigned and unframed prints for sale, if you'd like to frame them yourself.
Cpt Ballache.

Thanks Karl for organising the 50th. From what I saw, it was a resounding success with the added bonus of Tom Karen in residence! Thanks also to those who purchased the Bug prints over the weekend.
Hope the weather stays good for the remaining days.
Cpt Ballache.
