adl2: , that's just such a shame that someone let it get into that state. I know that's more than I could cope with but I admit I am slightly tempted. For the VIN, it would end up as a Trigger's broom of a restoration. Nov 25, 2020 22:26:43 GMT
burlmeister: Trouble fitting new 6052 fan belt. Alternator adjusted to the max. Belt is on the engine and alt pulleys but I just cannot get it to stretch over the lip of the fan pulley. Is there a trick to this? Driving me nuts! Nov 26, 2020 11:09:57 GMT
adl2: That barn find Bug as linked by is now bid to over a grand. Or should I say, that V5 doc for a Bug is up to over a grand. Nov 29, 2020 10:14:12 GMT

mysticmick: hi all . i recently purchased a bug . my dream car for restoration . i have the vin plate . with chassis number and engine number . but sadly no reg number . is there any way of finding out the original reg so i could apply for the v5 .. thanks in advance May 8, 2021 16:20:42 GMT
cdb15: To Mystic Mick: contact HPI and ask if they will do a VIN-only check. Usually if you have the registration it's £19 or so, but may be different from the VIN. Or there is a DVLA procedure using form V62 - check out the government web site for the procedure. May 17, 2021 20:15:30 GMT
