I'm very sceptical about fitting the sealing strip that goes round the front of the body where it meets the canopy ...does anyone have an alternative to the rubber strip?
The C profile strip that I've got for this job is vinyl or a high silicon content rubber and nothing sticks to it so it will be difficult to fix neatly and will come unstuck easily - so I'm wondering if there is a more satisfactory alternative please |

Just use a silicone adhesive. Sicaflex 11 fc is a good one, but there are many alternatives. Put a rivet through each end to stop it peeling off.

Cut it into three pieces and do as mentioned above

I used a product called tiger seal on my MX 5 its designed to stick rubber vinyl glass etc. I'm going to try it on the Bug. Hold the seal in place with making tape initially and do it in sections.
