PTO 365M I just noticed that a message was placed on the gallery saying that a chap called David has bought my old Bug and awaiting delivery so he can restore it. This was a year ago, so he may have done some work, may not.
I have added a comment, but seems that David is not a forum member, so I'm a bit confused how he managed to put an update on there?
I would love to know how its all going with the Bug restore!

You didn't know there is a club magazine ? When you first buy a Bug or are just an enthusiast looking for a Bug the first thing to do is join the Bug club. There's a link on this site how to join And it's worth every penny

Ok, I'm looking and can't find the link you mention. Maybe it's because I'm using a phone not a PC? Are bondbugs.co.uk and the Bondbug forum the same thing?

I'll look again at General Discussion.

It doesn't appear to be however as it's a project for this chap, I wouldn't expect it to be. That's why I'm keen to find out about it. It was scrapped as a lost cause way back in the early 80s and so when it surfaced again, I was surprised....and interested to know more.

I still think it would be worth putting an advert in the club magazine but clearly you'd need to be a Bug club member to do that so I suppose it depends how keen you are to find out more but if it was scrapped as you say in the early '80's and it has resurfaced then someone at some point has not been playing by the rules shall we say

Hmmm, true. This raises the question of whether it actually was scrapped, as I believed or simply sold on. I was a typically ignorant teen at the time, with other things on my mind and gave it to my Dad to dispose of. It got handballed onto a low loader along with various other scrap items, so my assumption has always been that it had been scrapped.

The bond bug site www.bondbugs.co.uk/ is run by rory and is the bug club site while this one is run my myself-ivan smith. Both work together with the club and with each other. You cant update a bug on the .co.uk site unless your the owner of the bug. Rory maybe along to clarify that. Bugs keep turning up :-)

Ok, I did wonder about the connection. My old bugs V5 was last issued in March 2021, so it appears that it was NOT scrapped. Would love to see it now. How can I post a picture? I just found an old photo of it.

Maybe put an advert in the club magazine ? Is this something you would be able to do on my behalf?

Clearly you are interested in Bugs so why not support "the Bug club" by joining and becoming a member ? ? ? Then you can put an advert in yourself. We are always looking for new members to join the ranks be that Bug owners or just enthusiasts
