Hi , Here is a underside picture of the Bug I am restoring there is a section cut out to the left of the steering column hole , it looks as if it is a series of holes drilled to remove this section why I do not know can any one help or have a picture of this section so I can sort it correctly. The cut out is to gain access to the brake sender unit which is fitted into the 4 way brass brake fitting, once the body is fitted to the chassis the cut out was originally covered with a small fibreglass plate attached with screws. Access is poor so you may want to consider fitting the sender unit to the rear diff but you will need a mod to the wiring, if you fit a new loom from Autosparks their loom has the wires there regards roger

By the way just swap around the front 4 way brass unit with the rear 3 way unit, another handy mod is to cut slots in the radiator brackets that are welded to the chassis as it aids fitting the radiator with the body on

Rogeru7 advice on the cutting slots in the radiator brackets, is spot on and one of the best mods I have even done.
It is a raal pain in the rear end to fit without doing that mod.
