Yes there are 3 hinges which retain the boot lid, each hinge has 2 countersunk holes for the screws, there are only washers to reinforce the fibreglass but it would be no problem to make small plate instead of the washers. The width of the hinges are narrower than standard hinges you buy in the shops to suit the boot lid thickness and the fibreglass lip, if you do not have the original hinges you can buy modern hinges weld and re-drill the holes and cut the width down to size. Thanks Roger, So you use self tap screws into the fibre glass ,I have no existing holes is the washers / steel plates set in the fibre glass ? and there is a rubber trim around the boot edge is that correct

Hi self tapping screws will not be good in the long run, you need to use countersunk threaded screws and nuts, steel plates are not in the fibreglass, they (or washers) are fitted from inside the boot to spread the load on the fibreglass, the plates only need to be the same length as the hinges. Yes there is a rubber seal around the boot edge ( available from the bond bug club spares). Take your time drilling the holes in the boot lid used to secure the boot lid straps ( also available from the club spares) as it’s easy to drill through the lid, use self tappers on the straps regards roger
