i think its a 700 when you start it and rev it its back firing put new points in no differance any ideas thanks

bug1965, Almost certain that the timing is not correct. If you have a timing light reset to the timing marks. If no light, then loosen the dizzy clamp and rotate the dizzy by a micro amount, noting the direction that you moved it. Check the result, if worse you have moved it the wrong way. If better then it may require a bit more. Moving the dizzy counter clockwise advances the timing...clockwise to retard little at a time Bill

Agree - most likely the timing is too far advanced ...nudge the dizzy clockwise a bit and see what effect that has

dizzy was faulty changed it runs well now just going to have carb refurbed then mot
