Evenin' all. So I've had my bug for a while now, and from day one the engine hasn't been behaving. Until it's warm it will cut out after a few seconds regardless of any throttle/choke fettling. Eventually it will get warm enough to stay running (albeit roughly) at tick over with choke all the way in. Touch the throttle, however, and it'll rev briefly before cutting out. Temperature is normal, timing has been set and dizzy has been rotated, all to no effect. Thinking now that it could be the carb? Or something else?? Really not sure at the moment. If anyone has any advice it'd be greatly appreciated! Even better, if anyone is local to Manchester/Bolton and fancies getting their hands dirty there will be an inexhaustible supply of tea and biscuits Thanks in advance

Sounds like a carb problem to me. Have you got a spare one you could try or maybe someone in your neck of the woods has one you could try.:-)

Update** It was the carb! Bought a rebuild kit, gave everything a good clean as I went and now running beautifully. Simple as that
