I am having a pesky little problem which is more annoying than serious!
The plastic cover on the fuse box keeps falling off...I have managed to find it up untill now as it drops down and the screen washer reservoir stops it dropping into the road and getting lost.
For the moment i have just taken it off...which is one solution!!
Does anyone have any ideas to stop this annoying problem....would a new plastic cover be tighter...?

You might find a new cover tighter. For a long time I didn't have a cover on mine because it had got lost before I had the Bug. Generaly the replacment fuse boxes are lower quality than the origials, but this mainly affects the fitting of the fuses rather than the cover. But you could make your existing cover a tighter fit by putting some blobs of glue on the edge where it fits, then allowing the glue to dry before fitting the cover.

Heat from the engine bay can soften up or distort the fuse box cover over time. I bought a replacement off eBay for £10 - Lucas 7FJ.
Quality not bad but nowhere as good as the original.
Lucas stuff these days is outsourced / manuafactured overseas

Thanks Goys...I was thinking of drilling through and putting a screw through the centre stud with maybe a wingnut on the other side....then I realised that the behind the fuse box is buried in trim and plastic covers LOL...I will give the blobs of glue a try.
