Gent's
I seem to have found the problem with the over heating, after trying the Cola trick below to wash out the block.
It now seem that the head gasket has gone. Now removing the head is going to be a first for me.
Before I start is there any thing I should be aware of and secondly would any of you know the setting for the head bolts when I start to but it all back together?
Again thanks for your help on any of this.
Regards Dean.

Are you sure its gone? I would get it tested first.
If it is the head gasket make sure the water ways are clear when you add the new gasket. I find they never line up very well so a bit of tweaking maybe required.

Gent's Head is now off and does not look to bad to be honest however the suggestions about the draining hole at the back of the block were correct. By suing a drill bit by hand and slowly turning it in the hole, I must have pull out the equivalent half of the beach at WSM in muck. And buy using a small plastic hose and a very large syringe i have now cleared out all the muck at the back of the block. So with luck when it all goes back together it will once and for all run as it should do. Wish me luck, and thanks for all your help. Regards Dean.
