I have searched the Forum and to my surprise find no mention at all of fire extinguishers. Apologies if I have missed something obvious, but assuming not, I wonder what others' thoughts are about extinguishers - do people bother? Where do you fit them? Has anyone ever had to use one in anger on a Bug, and if so did it work or was it a waste of time? I've been reading up on this since it's almost 40 years now since I first got one and fitted it in the Kitten. Things have moved on a tad since then, not least me, which means that for the first time in my life I can actually afford the right version rather than the cheapest version, and it seems that a 1Kg powder extinguisher is the canine's underparts. So here is my new toy resting temporaily in my car. But as you can see... it's a little larger than the older style 600gram ones (which you can still buy of course, but seem inadequate for anything more serious than a small engine bay fire in a steel car - check out the demonstration video on Youtube) which begs the question, where to put it? So, any thoughts? BTW, if anyone is wondering, I got this from Toolstation. It's by the major UK manufacturer, and covers classes A, B and C fires. It was the cheapest source I could find (even allowing for my 10% off at B&Q on Wednesdays!) and even better, being over £10 I got it delivered next day free of charge. I do love Toolstation )

An obvious place to put the fire extinguisher you'd have thought ...however, when I started courting my future wife she told me to move it cause it got in the way of our goodnight snog :-0
