Hi my Zenith carb is leaking petrol from the base gaskets, ive taken the carb off & there is a 5mm cork gasket & a green gasket either side of it however they all have notches in them, if that makes sence, i just wondered if the spares scheme sold these ? If not does anyone know where i can get some from . Many thanks

Thanks for the replies, I have looked on ebay but can only find the spacer gasket with the notches but not the thinner ones, rolydog I also found that website so i think it will have to be a phone call to make sure i get the right ones.

The little notches on the main gaskets that join the carb to the inlet manifold are correct ...there is a small drilling on the base of the carb that allows suction back up into the interior of the carb interior

Unless they're badly damaged, you could try re-using the old gaskets with a smear of Hylomar Blue to give a good seal. If you've never used this before, practice on sticking bits of cardboard together - it is NOT like any other sealant!! And don't use tons of it, because if it gets into vacuum tubes etc in the carb you'll have plenty of fun trying to get it out. Also, wear gloves. Don't ask me how I know...
