I copied this from the Facebook page explaining the current situation. Please bear with him
Good morning, please accept my apologies for not getting back in touch, I'm currently suffering from knee problems which are causing mobility issues, however thanks to my local hospital physiotherapist things are slowly improving. We're still having problems locating the spares which are currently in several garages, unfortunately I don't know what is where as we had to move everything so quickly last year. I am aware that orders are overdue and I will be in touch with everyone as soon as I'm able to move around better. If you call our landline number please could you at least leave your name as it makes it easier for me to check back, thank you.

Thanks Chris for posting our situation on here much appreciated, however I'm still suffering with mobility issues following a recent fall whilst at home this has aggravated my knee problem which was going okay until then. We had been looking at a suitable workshop/storage area close to our house which was up for auction at 15k unfortunately it went for 35k to a couple from London who hope to convert it to a one bed dwelling, so our spares are at present still in much of a muddle in three garages all I can do is apologise for the further delays in catching up with the back orders that we have, but due to our current ongoing situation I hope you will understand. To add to our stock storage issues the estate management which own the garages are looking to sell up and redevelop the site for housing so we may have to sell off all the Reliant and Bug spares in the future unless we can find a workshop or suitable storage nearby.

Dave, can you tell me the size of the headlights in a bug. I have been told that they are 7"/ 6" but that seem to large for me.
Regards Dean

there is a bodge that mounts the master cylinder to the gearbox as seen in on the Rug Bug but in my opinion your better off welding a bracket to the plate between the clutch and gearbox. I dont recall Dave ever selling any bracket.

I've seen a couple of home brewed brackets over the years but they always look like a bit of a dodgy compromise to me.

Has Dave an email address, I am struggling with the format of this site, nothing seems to work? Hi Joe, (sorry if that's not the correct name)
Please believe us that you WILL need to contact Dave by phone.
You can try to TEXT him on his mobile - 07896 473 660 - or you can phone him on his landline. I STRONGLY recommend you phone him on his landline - 01424 446078 - BUT... you MUST call between midday and 2pm.
Dave's availability is VERY limited and unless you call him as I have described you are very unlikely to get anywhere.
In case you didn't realise, Dave is not running a 9 till 5 commercial shop, he is a fellow enthusiast, and above all a volunteer* doing us all a huge favour with his spares service.
Chris
*worth remembering too that ALL of the committee folks are volunteers, and they too do all the rest of us a huge favour in keeping the Club and the website operational. Hats off to you all [where's the 'round of applause' smiley?]
